I've just bought Life is strange 2 complete season. I've installed the game on Steam without issue, but when I launch the game, nothing happens. I've verified all files via steam tools and I've re-installed and rebooted my PC but the game don't launch. I've tried to launch the game with another window account. I had the same issue and I did troubleshoot it by launching the game from a terminal. Now you need to trick a the game a bit since if you launch it from outside Steam it will redirect Steam. So what I did is that in startup options, I did enter: xterm -T %command% Then click start in Steam, and in the xterm that opens, enter ./LifeIsStrange.sh Go to your steam folder, then steamapps->common->life is strange->_commonredist->vcredist->2012 and then use one of the two exe files there. Thing is, your PC might take forever at the "initializing installation" screen (took 10 minutes for me) but if you're patient enough, it should install the program without any errors and then the game runs Deleted the my games Life is Strange folder Changed BIK_Boot_Legal.bik to BIK_Boot_Legal.bak (I assume this was suggested because it's the very opening of the game which could be the cause of the problem) Changed the config to never start BIK_Boot_Legal.bik Updated all drivers (amd) Restarted computer multiple times after changes to drivers Disable Depth Of Field by editing a config file Go to the configuration file(s) location.; Open the Engine.ini file with a notepad.; Add the following lines to the bottom of the file and save the changes: would very much like a fix to this if anyone can find it. It's only happening with this game. I've launched every other installed game on my computer including the other Life is strange games and they all work except for life is strange 2 which won't launch. Same here. I tried and reset the checkpoint after making the changes but it still wont let me pick between the 3. #2. Also, a friend of mine had problems with her firewall not allowing the game access to the internet. So maybe that might be a problem for you.
